Denmark has officially opened its doors to Ukrainian defense firms, allowing them to establish production facilities on Danish soil. On 4 July 2025, Denmark’s Minister for Trade and Industry, Morten Bødskov, and Ukraine’s Minister for Strategic Industries, Herman Smetanin, signed a bilateral agreement aimed at enhancing defense production cooperation.
The agreement outlines concrete steps to support Ukrainian defense companies in setting up branches and manufacturing facilities in Denmark. It also includes measures to eliminate barriers to collaboration and to ensure the protection of shared technologies from misuse.
The signing was attended by Oleksandr Kamyshin, strategic advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, underscoring the importance of the deal in strengthening industrial and strategic ties between the two nations.
