Google has launched a powerful new AI feature aimed at automating presentation design. Now, users of Gemini Canvas can feed the AI any document or report, and it will automatically generate a complete, professionally formatted Google Slides deck in seconds.
The AI is sophisticated, capable of interpreting the structure of your text. It builds a logical presentation, creating titles for key sections, adding breaks to pace the flow, and even sourcing relevant visuals to make the slides more engaging.
This update is a game-changer for anyone who regularly creates presentations. The “blank slide” problem is eliminated, as the AI provides a strong, structured draft, allowing users to focus on polishing their message instead of formatting.
This new capability is part of Gemini’s Canvas mode, Google’s dedicated workspace for AI-assisted writing and brainstorming. Now, this tool can also handle visual transformation, turning text into a presentation-ready format.
The global rollout is underway for both personal Google accounts and Workspace users. Early access seems to be going to Gemini Advanced (Pro) subscribers, but Google is expected to make it available to all users soon.
