Efforts by the Lebanese government to assert state authority and rebuild public trust are underway, with a particular focus on areas previously under Hezbollah’s influence. The Lebanese army has undertaken reconstruction and infrastructure projects in regions formerly occupied by Israeli forces, attempting to make governmental institutions more prominent in these communities.
Nevertheless, the state encounters significant obstacles.
