Türkiye’s defense sector has made significant strides, as evidenced by five of its companies securing spots in the 2026 global Top 100 defense companies ranking. This achievement underscores the nation’s burgeoning capabilities in defense manufacturing and exports. Among these companies, ASELSAN stands out, having climbed to 40th place from its previous position at 43rd. Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) follows closely, ranked at 48th, while ARCA Defense made its debut on the list at 53rd.
Roketsan demonstrated notable progress, advancing to the 64th position from 71st, and MKE secured the 81st spot. Collectively, these five companies amassed approximately $14.9 billion in defense revenue during 2025, illustrating the sector’s robust performance and expansion. ASELSAN led with $4.46 billion in defense revenue, followed by TAI with $3.65 billion. Meanwhile, ARCA Defense reported $3 billion, Roketsan $2.37 billion, and MKE $1.42 billion.
This growth can be attributed to the rising international demand for Turkish defense products, which has been a significant driver of the industry’s expansion. Türkiye has diversified its defense sector, making advancements in military electronics, aerospace, missile systems, ammunition, and other cutting-edge technologies. This diversification has enabled the country to enhance its defense offerings and meet global market needs more effectively.
The latest rankings are indicative of Türkiye’s expanding influence in the global defense market and its increasing capacity to develop and export a comprehensive range of defense systems. This upward trajectory in the rankings reflects not only the sector’s financial achievements but also its strategic importance on the international stage, as Türkiye continues to bolster its defense industry capabilities.
